This morning as I was waking up, the sun was creeping through the blinds on my windows and light was coming from the hallway. I was looking at everything around me. So many amazing things. Technology, talent to make beautiful things, and knowledge to make intricate things. If we were just a random happening evolving from nothing, just dust. Then how could we think and reason and accomplish such amazing things? Why are we different from other animals? Wouldn’t we be struggling just to get by. I remember thinking about cavemen when I was little. I thought how silly it sounded. I looked at the photographs of my children and grandkids all around. My computer, my power wheelchair and every piece of technology in my room. Then I glanced at a painting on my wall. One day when I was shopping for furniture, it called to me from the wall in the store. I stared at it for a long time. I was looking at my childhood in complete detail. When I was a little girl my daddy took me up with his friend in an airplane. I loved it. It’s all I thought of for years after that. I grew up next door to two boys that I played with. It was a picture of three kids building a pretend airplane. We often would build things from all the scrap junk left lying around. That picture had every detail correctly. Even the Fanta orange soda my friends always drank. What are the odds that someone I didn’t know would paint that picture? And that I would happen upon it while trying to find a desk. Just about that time I looked outside and yes it was another absolutely beautiful sunny day. How can that just happen? Back to the photos. I am loved by every one of those people. They give my life so much meaning.. Feelings and emotions. Where did they come from if there is no meaning to life? Random chance is a bigger miracle than anything I was raised to believe. I see great miracles every day because I know the God of miracles, but without him it would take a miracle for anything to make sense or have meaning.

Everything We Need
“Then God said, ‘Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move on the ground. So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.” Genesis 1:26-27 NIV
I have been learning so much lately about the creation of the world. So many things were explained so clearly. Things I hadn’t really thought about but now made so much more sense. God is awesome. I am so excited about these new incites and just had to share what I have learned. I believe the Bible is 100% true but I had missed so many details, I guess I just never pondered them. Now that I have I can see the whole picture more clearly. As a child I was always questioning things that I learned in school. They just did not always make complete sense to me. And now some scientists are seeing that the Bible really does make more sense. Holding more truths than we thought possible. Well God should know, he was there through it all. Science tried to tell us how things happened that made sense to man. But man is far from perfect and doesn’t understand God’s ways. I believe in a perfect creator that planned everything precisely ahead of time and doesn’t make mistakes. Because I’ve seen him working mightily throughout my life and I believe. He says he made man in his image. That means we are perfect and have everything we need to live an abundant and good life doing all he made us for. We can think and reason even create things with the intelligence he has given us. If we follow him and his commandments I believe we are unstoppable. He did create many animals for us to enjoy and rule over. But did you know at one time we were all herbivores. We all lived in peace together. Animals were for us even dinosaurs could be ours. The weather was moderate so we didn’t really need clothes. We had everything we needed. Water seepage from the earth watered everything and gave us water. It wasn’t till sin came into the garden that things changed. God had to kill one of the animals so he could make clothes for man and the climate changed causing different weather patterns. Animals had to change and adapt to the new climate by growing more fur. Man began eating animals and animals began eating each other which caused them to fear humans. They grew sharp teeth, claws and fangs so they could defend themselves. God still cared for his creatures but life was no longer perfect and hard at times. God gave them defense mechanisms to help them survive. But everything is here that we could ever need. God thought of everything.
Can you see how big God is?
All Is Yours
“Yours, Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, Lord, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all.” 1 Chronicles 29:11 NIV
Lord you are so wonderful. Your ways are so good. I am just so grateful that you have blessed me so for all my 60 years. I look at the world around me and it does shout of your glory. You made us a masterpiece for us to enjoy every day and I will never take that for granted. I love that you plucked me down in beautiful Arizona. From the beautiful sunsets to the cool tall pines. I could never see it all. Yesterday I got to enjoy our Botanical gardens and it was a perfect 72 degree and sunny day. I saw so many different cacti all different and unique. Small to large and some really weird prehistoric looking plants. Nothing average or boring. You are creative. They had a wonderful butterfly exhibit. I really enjoyed going through this enclosure. I saw thousands of butterflies everywhere. Up close they are so delicate and so lovely. They were flying all around me a landing on me. To a huge monarch to tiny little ones. So much to enjoy in this world. The people you have sent into my life, I choose to enjoy each and every one. Friends and family and some that I don’t know yet but want to get to know. You have helped me learn the importance of being grateful. Every morning, even before I open my eyes, I can come to you and say thanks. A bright new day, maybe cool, warm, rainy, windy or snowy (which I miss so much). So much goes into the upkeep of this planet but you do it effortlessly because you designed it so well. You thought of absolutely everything. Scientists try to know things, and they have come a long way, thanks only to you. They will never begin to discover all that you know. Your plans for us are so good. I’m really glad that you sent me to a church that I just love. It is beautiful and it is so good at finding needs and making sure they are taken care of. I am right in the center of what you are doing and you do use me though I am nothing special, just your daughter, and that’s more than enough. I have seen so many answers to prayer and you work in some awesome ways. I want to touch every one in a special way. Use me to make a difference. Everyone I meet is made in your image and I know you love them and gave your life for them. Help me to see them with your eyes. Thank you so very much.
Do you take time to be grateful?
His Workmanship
“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10 NIV
This week was my yearly vacation to Special Touch Camp. Each year people with disabilities, whether cognitive or physical get to go to a Christ centered camp where for five days we get to do great things that we don’t normally get to do. If you have any handicaps and want to go where you are loved unconditionally and get to do many exciting and different things, I highly recommend it. My favorite is soaking in the hot tub and just relaxing. It is not easy getting me in or out, but whatever you want they make it happen. One year I rode a zip line through the trees and landing in the lake. This year a friend of mine went on the screaming swing, where they pull you way up in the air and let you go screaming all the way. We play games, do crafts, sing, hear great messages and eat great food. Everyone there loves God and loves to serve others. This week we talked about how we are made so perfectly and uniquely. God never makes anything poorly and we are perfect. No two people are alike and we are so loved. At one of the services the pastor gave out beautiful flowers, all different and unique. It made me remember one morning as I sat in the patio praying I had a vision, because I was awake but I saw a beautiful field of millions of different flowers . God told me that is how he sees the people he has made. It doesn’t matter if we have handicaps, addictions, or problems. No matter your color, nationality, or difference God sees you just how he made you. Whatever potential he sees in us makes him smile. Of everything he ever created we are his best work. Created just like him to think, reason and to do great things. He knows the beginning from the end. Though I once made big mistakes he saw just what I would become and do for him. We are all a messed up bunch having our own needs and wants. When we stop worrying about ourselves and start worrying about others and their needs, that’s when God can start meeting our needs beyond our expectations. I am fearfully and wonderfully made. God put in my DNA everything I would ever need to fulfill his purposes for me. I may be in a wheelchair, unable to walk or stand, and to even care for myself. I can’t speak clearly but he has enabled me to do great things for him. Right where he has placed me he has given me many assignments and let me change lives.
Do you know how perfect and wonderful you are?
Bragging
“But if I say, ” I will not mention his words or speak anymore in his name,” his word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones.” Jeremiah 20:9 NIV
I love to write. I love to talk about my great God. The more I learn about him, the more I see him doing in others lives. I just can’t keep quiet. It just isn’t possible. I watched a show last night about ‘The Answers in Genesis,’ project. It was so interesting to see how God is moving through the lives of others. This project, just now really getting started, began over fifty years ago. Different people were influenced greatly by those in their lives. By family, friends, and sometimes chance encounters. I watched this two hour show about how the creation museum and the arc encounter got started. It really started with Ken Ham’s parents and the passion they had for their great God. His father was a teacher living in a small town in Australia. He first believed in the Bible and wanted to teach based on God’s principles. This rubbed off on Ken, the need to give answers to all of life’s questions to people. Genesis is the foundation and to a strong Christian Family they knew that the answers were there in the Bible they just needed to get that to people. Science has tried to find answers their way and has led many people astray over the years. In school we were taught one way and at church another. Now there are many more scientists that are finding out that the Bible really can be correct. If you have God’s spirit burning down in your soul you know that you know the truth. I know it in my gut. I can see God moving. The more I see and hear the more excited I get. The more people who come around to God’s ways the more I want to yell, Yah! I knew that all along. God is working in so many lives all at one time. Circumstances in our lives bring us together with people who are on that same journey of discovery and we can help build each other up. When one person has that passion burning inside them it can be contagious. When two people have that passion burning watch out. Amazing and great things can happen. Ken’s passion had built for many years before he felt called by God to move to America. God had been working on other people in the same way. They had a common goal and when they met that passion exploded creating great things for God’s people. The Creation museum has dinosaurs created by a man whose passion is bringing dinosaurs back to life for people to see and his was another chance encounter God’s way. The Arc Encounter has had 30,000 visitors and it is brand new. They also have books, movies, and so many other ways to get people the answers to life’s questions as to how man started.

Master Creator
“Since the creation of the world Gods invisible qualities – his eternal power and divine nature – have been clearly seen, being understood from what is made, so that people are without excuse.” Romans 1:20 NIV
When the world began things were simple. God made Adam and Eve and they were with God from the beginning and so they knew God. They walked with God and all was perfect. The world was good and they enjoyed each other’s company. God had made all the animals on earth just for Adam and he had total charge over them. Giving each a name as seemed best to him. Everything was for his pleasure. All they would ever need was there. Their surroundings were perfect and they had no need for anything. Then one day Satan changed everything. He convinced the woman that what they had was not enough. He got them looking at themselves and thinking that things could be better. It was just a little doubt. They could have gone to God and he probably would have gladly shown them that what they had was all they needed, but a little doubt can and will separate us from all God has for us. They ate the apple and we all know what happened next. It was never the same. Slowly as the people on earth grew in numbers they thought more and more about themselves and their needs. The God who had been so important in the beginning became less and less important to people. Living their lives and pleasing themselves became more important. That did not stop them from knowing deep down there was a master designer that had created everything. No, it was all around them every day in everything they did. He had provided everything for them. Food in abundance to eat. Animals for food and everything they might need. But they thought of themselves and their wants first. After time they grew farther and farther from God. Enjoying themselves and living for every moment was very important to them. Finally God had had enough and told Noah to build an arc. He would destroy the earth he had made and everything living on it. Just Noah and his family would remain. Him and all the animals he had with him inside the arc. And God promised him that he would never destroy the earth again. A rainbow stood in the sky as a covenant between God and Noah that whenever they saw the rainbow in the sky that it would remind them of Gods promises. We still have that same promise today as we look up into the sky on a rainy day. We can see his rainbow and know he cares for us. Science has shown us so much about all God has done for us even though some scientists refuse to believe what is right in front of them. One day we all will stand in front of a righteous God in judgement . Nobody will be able to say they didn’t know. It was all around them. All along.
Do you know the master creator?
In the Beginning
In the beginning God. Imagine if you will all that went on in that one little week. The Father, the son, and the Holy Spirit, the triune godhead all together created the heavens and the Earth. The word was God. Who is the word? Jesus Christ. He was the spoken word that created everything that ever was or will be. Everything we would ever need for all time. Together as one unit and not independent of each other they agreed together and it was done.
Before that day the earth was formless and void. Nothing but them existed. The spirit of God was hovering over the waters. Complete nothingness is hard for finite mind to understand. But the question “what came first,” comes to mind. God came first and without them nothing would be. They agreed in their efforts and had a plan. I have been told it is like any great building project you need an architect (God), to design; then a builder (The word or Jesus Christ spoke it into existence.)
All the exact specifications, the details were in God’s mind (on those blueprints) But Jesus just had to say ‘sky’ and everything needed like clouds, wind, seasons, details happened. And God said let there be light. In that one word so much happened. The sun with its exact specs and the moon for night with its exact orbit for time and seasons. Stars in the sky shining down on us. Even some meteorites darting in the distant sky. They were all there. And so much more.
God saw that the light was good! We can look into a powerful telescope and see some of his great handiwork but will never comprehend the half of it because we can never know all that they do. His reasons are not ours. We will never understand why he did everything he did but all we need to know is that he is perfect and that’s enough. It wasn’t just good I know it was perfect just in one simple word, ‘light’. The light we know as day and at night darkness came with its lesser light. The first day.
Let there be a vault to separate the waters. The dictionary states that a vault is an arched structure, (first clue the earth was not flat), I can see the world separating from the sky. This all happened on the second day. The waters in the sky would not be liquid in form but would be released into air molecules, I guess, but God is perfect remember. He knew what he was doing. Let the water under the sky be separated from the dry land. All the oceans, seas, lakes, rivers and streams with all their inlets and outlets were set in place by their command. All working together in synchronized perfection.
It was very good. He was making all we would need. Nothing was left out of his design that we would ever need or want. He thought of it all. How awesomely we are taken care of. Science with all the things we have learned can never come close to their knowledge and foresite. Let there be vegetation on the land. Every seed bearing plant. Can you imagine all that is included there? I am not a plant specialist but I do know there are more seed bearing varieties than I could ever comprehend. We are looking at the greatest landscaping that was ever done. It had to include everything we would need for food, clothing, shelter, and to create everything necessary. Just for us to enjoy. Whew, that wrapped up the third day. What a day. It was a very good day.
Light and all that encompasses. Sun, moon, stars, set in the heavens. Giving their light in hours, minutes and seconds. What orchestration. This would cause days to become months and years. Rotation of everything flowing so perfectly. Earth as well as planets, sun and moon. This was good, day four.
Then God designed animals and all creatures in the seas and birds in the air. So many creatures. Just birds alone is mind boggling. Billions of species. Large and small. From penguins to tiny hummingbirds. All for us to enjoy, and for food to sustain us and the animals themselves. Such variations in all different environments. ‘Be fruitful and multiply, filling the waters and the sky’s.’’ Now that’s a lot of birds and fish. This was day five.
Then God created all animals on the earth, all creeping creatures. Cattle, buffalo, and just think of the animals used in stuff we need every day. Things like leather for shoes, gloves for working, ingredients for cosmetics for us women. as well as eating just to stay alive. There even needs to be food for the food to survive. The circle of life to continue. Then God created man in the image of God.
All we will ever need to be all he created us to be and do. He thought of everything. I know at times I can get an awful lot on my plate to do. I can remember a lot but always forget stuff. Like last night at 3:30 am I realized I had not plugged in my power chair and it was dead. I would be able to do nothing without it. God never forgets anything. His plate is a whole lot more full than I can imagine.
He created man but he needed him to have a companion and mate so he could be fruitful and multiply the earth. Just think of everyone that ever was. He knew each and every person. He knew the hairs on their heads. Everything about them. Good as well as bad and he loved ALL of them They were all in his mind before the world began. What he had made was so very very good
So after all that he created in just six days he rested. He knew we would all need rest. He set apart the seventh day as a very special day. His sabbath day of rest. A time for renewal for us. We have all week to do our labor for income to support our lives. But the seventh day really should be devoted to him. We need that time and doesn’t he deserve it for all he has done.
Creation.
I had the opportunity to go to the Odysea Aquarium in Scottsdale Friday. My daughter and her son took me for the day. I greatly recommend it for those who haven’t been. I was so in awe of all the creatures living in oceans and streams. I can not look at the great diversity and see how it just happened.
Everything in that place just cried out God is awesome. So very many fish and water animals of all colors and shapes. I saw tiny little seahorses about 2-3 inches long swimming among the plants in their tanks. They would hold on to the plants with their tails while they slept or ate. So perfect in detail.
I watched otters frolicking around and found out that they are very excited by anything with wheels. They would get so excited at a stroller or even my wheelchair. The are so cute. They drew a large crowd. There behavior is so fun to watch.
So many different size and shapes of fish and such funny names. It looked as if they were making odd faces at me. Most very grumpy looking. I really enjoyed just watching them. One tank had sea turtles and my grandson spoke up. “Hey these are special needs turtles.” Most of the turtles were missing limbs.
Later in the day we heard that many turtles are hurt by boaters and debris in the water. They can no longer survive in the wild so this kind of home is perfect for their rehabilitation. Being in a wheelchair myself I can relate to what it takes to adapt. But God helps all creatures whether man or beast relearn the way they do things.
The way they learn to survive in their environment by coloring and the way they were designed. It is all so well thought out. How could something that perfect just happen. My mind just can not see anything about evolution as being plausible. I just got a magazine from the NCI. National Creation Institute in Dallas Texas.
This Institute is doing great things about building creation museums and educating people on true research that shows real facts of Creation. These aren’t just theories but actual researched facts that support the Bible’s history and timelines. Their magazine is called ‘Facts and Acts’. Great name.
There are so many scientists and researchers that are strong Christian authorities. They are striving to show truth. For so many years we have been programmed to think one way, evolution. But more and more wholes are being found in those theories.
I noticed this morning so much more than I normally do. So much beautiful landscaping. A beautiful golf course with so many different trees. Every shape and color. Man has done a great job of taming and designing around nature but give God the credit for all he has given us to work with.
I know of a new exhibit near my daughters home that has a life size recreated example of what Noah’s arc would have looked like. They got to go there this summer on their vacation . I guess it was massive. They really enjoyed it. I have no idea how all those animals got along for so many days. It must haves smelled too.
I am so glad there are places like that for my grandkids to explore. Things that finally give credit where credit is long overdue.
Awesome Creator
How can I begin to help you understand the complete awesomeness of our God? It is said that man just knew of a master designer by the world around us. Even those in far away remote tribes in the jungles of Africa knew of a power greater than ourselves out there that designed this planet.
Why it took so many years for some of our greatest thinkers and geniuses to come to a conclusion that we didn’t just evolve but that there was a master designer behind it all. Still today there are those who refute creation for evolution. They can not fathom something greater than themselves..
Talk about ego’s.. it is impossible for my brain to even comprehend anything coming from nothing.. I know that as many times as I have read through the Bible that I am biased,, but miraculous describes what I know. I am by no means a scholar or great thinker. Just look at the few facts we know.
There are billions of people on this planet, all different colors, races, sizes, languages, and no two exactly alike. With their own unique fingerprints. That’s just today, but also over thousands of generations. Not only humans but animals, fish, birds, creepy crawlers, and then there is plant life.
Deep breath, trees, grass, flowers, shrubs, environments of many kinds, different ecosystems, and so on and so on. I could go on for hours. There are even studies done on each of them. Mind blowing. I can’t help thinking about the one with wisdom to think it all up. Then to create it.
Just in one ecosystem there are different wind, rain, and temperature patterns that accommodate different plants, animals, and types of people. How many different ecosystems? I remember reading to my daughters when they were little about a little reddish frog somewhere in the jungle that was very poisonous if eaten. That is how it survived.
That story has always stayed with me. Showing me the uniqueness of all Gods creatures.. I’ve spent many nights watching animal shows about so many different animals and their own lives. Things different creatures can do and their behaviors.
Then start to think about our own creations made from just what was already on this planet from the beginning. How one mind thinks different ideas up. Someone came up with a little bean and now coffee is a billion dollar industry. I thank God every morning for that one. All we ever needed was already thought of and on this planet from the beginning.
There is so much beyond our atmosphere that we will never know but someone knows and thought it up for a reason. As a Christian I can’t help thinking about how he sees His creations, very good. Do you know that before any of us were ever born God in his infinite wisdom thought each of us up. He wrote a whole book on just one of us.
He designed me, who my parents would be, when and where I would be born. Who my husband would be and how we would meet. My daughters and their families and who I would become. The same is true for you. Isn’t our God awesome.
