Blessings

‘And God is able to bless you abundantly, so in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” 2 Corinthians 9:8

The God that we serve loves to bless. Especially if you are one of his children. If you are one of his kids he will bless you abundantly and keep blessing you because you love him and want to further his kingdom. He will also bless you financially when you show God that you can be trusted to use your finances to further the kingdom. The more you give the more you get, because you can’t out give God, My niece adopted two special, hard to place children that have lots of needs. They just bought a beautiful big house at way less than most homes and everything just fell into place. They have four children and are very busy people but they couldn’t be any happier. I also know others who have adopted special needs children and God always meets all of their needs and has totally blessed their lives and these kids totally bless their lives. Whenever you are a blessing you will be blessed. God also made us to be creative. He gave us dreams and visions and an imagination to see these dreams come about in our lives. Without a dream the people perish. Only humans can create and make a difference with their lives. He wants us to love others and to love them into his kingdom. He wants a really big family in heaven one day. When we are loving others and helping to meet their needs he will continue to bless us. You can’t be happier than when you are blessing people.

Finishing The Race

“However, I consider my life nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me-the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.”

I’m am retired and living in a nursing home. But I do have a job. My boss is God and he is a good boss and there are many fringe benefits. The most important task is to tell others of this great news and to be Jesus here in the dark world. Your actions speak a lot louder than you do. I know I speak softly and many people have a hard time hearing and understanding me. I wish I could speak to more people but I can write. I currently write a blog of Christian encouragement and send out devotions to several people because I can’t keep quiet about the amazing God I serve. My life really doesn’t matter that much anymore and my problems are just temporary and not worth complaining about. I want to speak positively to whoever I can speak to. I also wish to keep my focus on all God is doing in my life. So much is happening behind the scenes in the spiritual realm that should not be missed. Another big task is to love others with the love of Jesus. He not only loved those around him he was willing to die so they wouldn’t have to and God has forgiven them of everything if they believe in his precious son. When you are a child of God you couldn’t have a better Father. He blesses the sinner as well as his own kids. But he loves to spoil his own children best. Always making sure they have everything they need. Like wisdom, strength, and joy unspeakable. So we can do the job he has given us the best we possibly can. And bring many more brothers and sisters into our amazing family.

God’s Infinite Wisdom

“Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. But do it.” James 1:22

Do we believe what we read. Or just the parts we like. Because if we really believe God is who he says he is and that he can’t lie then why wouldn’t we believe it. I’ll admit that sometimes it is hard at times to see us doing everything he says because some things are just hard to follow through and live out. We have been given all the help we need. It is not just up to us but Christ working in us. We are to transform our minds. I know the more I repeat scripture the easier it is to follow. Repeating scripture also encourages me because his truths and promises will come to pass and that’s exciting. Sometimes it is just reading how God worked in someone’s life and that just shows how God uses ordinary people who make mistakes and still make a difference. Are you living what you read? Judge not lest you be judged. Do you want God to judge you by the same standards that you judge others? Are you critical of others? Do you say you love someone but! That’s not love. Do you forgive others so God can forgive you? Or do you hold a grudge hoping they ask forgiveness. They probably don’t even remember their actions. Do you want Gods forgiveness? Of course. Pray for those who persecute you. Of course not. Why would we do that. I’m just as guilty. But we need to take God at his word. He means what he says. His are not just suggestions. I will do all I can and I won’t be perfect but that won’t stop me from trying. I don’t want regrets when I stand before a righteous God one day. There was a time that I had regrets and I totally screwed up my life and it scared me so much and I never want to be there again.
