And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13
These are the main staples of being a Christian. To be like Christ. But do we really understand what this means? Faith is just confidence or trust in something or someone. Believing in something you can’t really prove. Believing God’s teachings. Believing in ethics or standards. Loyalty or fidelity to someone or something. This is something you believe to your very core, and it doesn’t have to make sense or have proof but you know it in your heart. If you believe the Bible is true then the entire thing is true and you want to follow it completely. Hope is feeling that something you want could be had or wanting it to be possible. Having complete trust in something as your last or only hope. To look forward to something with desire and confidence. To feel something desired will happen. To have assurance of something happening when it doesn’t look possible. Hoping in God’s promises is easier because we have read that with God all things are possible to them that believe. Christ has won the victory for us and yes it is possible. The more you believe the more things do happen which just encourages you to believe even more. The more you keep your eyes on Jesus the more things you see happening in your favor. He is our perfect peace. And the greatest of these is love and to love like God does. It isn’t always easy but to have compassion, respect, and truly wanting what’s best for others. The more you love others I believe you will receive more love in return. The more you give out of these three qualities I believe they will come right back to you. Whenever you hope for something and see it happening and even greater things happening. You become so encouraged. When you live in faith, hope and love. They become more real in your life and you have more of them.
