“That you may be children of your father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.” Matthew 5:45

The Lord loves everyone even if they don’t love him in return. That is not something people of this world understand. God has made it clear that he wants us to love each other. When someone does something unkind or evil it comes from the pain and hurt inside them. They don’t even realize it. They do these things because someone else has done those same things to them so they feel it is ok to do them. They do not know that God loves them and that everything good is a gift from him. He wants the very best for them and he knows best. The sun comes up new every day and we all get a fresh new chance. A beautiful sunset or a flowering bouquet. A child’s laughter or a juicy steak. A mother’s unconditional love. These are all God’s way of saying ‘I love you.’ He is not a God of rules or punishment. In fact he is the one who gave us free will to choose just what we want, whether that’s good or bad for us. If he gave us the punishment we deserve, he would have destroyed everyone in the flood. The End. But he cares very much and wants us all to care to. To be like our Father. He just gave us things that we could do to have the best life here as possible. That perfect life he wants for us. When you do love someone you will want to do things that make them happy. To show them that you love them. The very best thing he gave us is his precious son. He willingly died a horrible gruesome death on the cross to pay our debts in full since there was nothing we could do to save us. We will live with him forever in a place where there is no evil. Unless we accept that gift, the gift of forgiveness we will spend everyday forever in a place where there is no light, or good only evil. Think of your very worst day lasting for billions of years.
